Title : SEMI‑AUTOMATED MOTORCYCLE HANDLE BAR HANDGRIP INSTALLATION SYSTEM WITH ARDUINO INTEGRATION
Objectives :
This project involves the design and fabrication of a semi‑automated motorcycle handgrip installation system. In conventional practice, motorcycle handgrips are installed manually, which requires considerable physical effort, takes a long time, and may cause damage to the rubber grips. Such issues can result in improper fitting, product rejection, and inconsistent installation quality.
The proposed system applies basic automation concepts using an Arduino controller, simple actuators, and sensors to assist in the handgrip installation process. The system is designed to help position, stretch, and install the handgrip onto the handlebar in a more controlled and consistent manner. Semi‑automation is used to reduce dependence on manual force while maintaining operator supervision.
